Nikki Schafers


As a student, teacher and co-owner of Shift Power Yoga, Nikki’s goal is to share her love of yoga and this powerful work in our community, and to create a space where students feel welcomed and empowered. Nikki first found yoga when she was feeling bored at the gym. Curious to see what yoga was all about, she attended her first class. It wasn’t long before she discovered a deep love for this practice and has never looked back. Nikki has been an avid student for 6 years and is a Yoga Alliance 200 RYT. She is a graduate of Shift Power Yoga’s 200-hr teacher training and is currently completing Shift Power Yoga’s 300-hr Master Teacher Training. Nikki is a warm and genuine soul who will make you feel welcome the moment you step in the door! She is so excited to meet you where you are on your mat and in your life!

Todd Schafers


Todd (AKA “Super Keener”) is an enthusiastic student of Shift Power Yoga and Baptiste Yoga. He is also the co-owner of Shift Power Yoga Sylvan Lake. Todd attended his first Power Yoga class in 2013 and was instantly hooked. He hasn’t looked back since, attaining his first Yoga Alliance RYT 200 certification through Pam Rader at Shift Power Yoga Kelowna, then going on to work with Baron Baptiste for Level One. He is currently on the path to Baptiste Certification, and will complete Level 2 in October. Todd brings a contagious energy and genuine love for the work to his practice, assisting and teaching.


Erin Payne


Erin has been a teacher of yoga for 5 years, and a student for 10. She is a Baptiste Certified Yoga teacher and co-owner of Shift Power Yoga Sylvan Lake. She thrives on building a community that supports, challenges, loves, and welcomes each other. Erin is committed to growth through continuing education, and after assisting Shift Power Yoga’s 200hr Sylvan Lake Teacher Training, she is excited to embark on SPY's 300hr Program. She loves Baptiste yoga and offering her students an empowering, and transformational experience. Through her practice she has accessed a power in her heart that she is eager to share with others on this planet. Yoga has softened the hard edges of Erin’s heart, releasing within her an authentic and soulful way of being. She believes that we are all in this together, and truly stands for each of her students. She can’t wait to see you on your mat!

Lindsay Johnson


Lindsay began teaching Yoga in 2006 with a background in Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. In 2014 after moving to British Columbia, Lindsay became a part of the Shift Power Yoga family in Kelowna and completed her 200 hour Baptiste Power Yoga certification. Most recently she relocated back to Alberta and is again lit up to be a part of the Shift community and share her passion for the Baptiste Methodology and practice. Lindsay knows first hand that this methodology and practice works and offers us the tools to see that when we get out of our own way, anything is possible!


Kim Small


Kim's passion for yoga started about 5 years ago after stepping on her mat for the first time. With a background working in physical therapy and a love of anatomy, she soon realized that there is way more to yoga than the physical practice. By stepping into her power, not only has she gained a new appreciation for alignment within the body, but Baptiste Yoga has also given her the tools to live with intention and integrity. Kim has completed Baptiste Yoga level 1 and 2 as well as The Art of Assisting. Kim has a fiery desire to continue this work and gain more tools in her tool box! As she continues to do the work, she realizes that anything is possible on her mat and in her life!

Jen Kelly


Sharing her love for yoga and all that is possible through practice, self love and connection is one of Jen's greatest passions. Jen has been actively working in the health and wellness industry since 1998 as a personal trainer, Pilates and yoga instructor, and fitness coordinator. She discovered yoga in 2002 and has been hooked ever since! Within a year of practicing yoga, she took an Ashtanga teacher training course and began teaching yoga in 2003. In 2016 she completed her 200 hour teacher training through Shift Power Yoga. This Baptiste-inspired training enhanced her life on and off her mat, and she can't wait to share what she's learned with you!
